Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit novushistoire.com (the "site"), why, and what choices you have. The site is operated by Novus Histoire ("we", "us"), reachable at contact@novushistoire.com.

What we collect

• Basic technical data. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
• Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and message only as long as needed to reply and keep a record of corrections.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run accounts, comments or newsletters on this site at the moment.

Advertising

We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners can use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.

Embedded videos

Some pages include our YouTube Shorts. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video is served from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback.

Display preferences

If you switch between dark and light mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link, for example to Amazon, the store may set a cookie to record that you came from us. That store's own privacy policy applies once you are on its site. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Links to other sites

Our videos are hosted on YouTube and other platforms. We link to them rather than embedding them by default. When you follow a link, that platform's privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its use. To make a request, email contact@novushistoire.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
